Petrified Palm Root comes from the fossilized root system of Indonesian palm trees.  Chalcedony Quartz and Jasper gradually replaced the root wood over millions of years, resulting in a unique material that typically doesn’t have the visible fiber pattern of the tree section but will often have a variety of swirls and colors.  Like other fossilized materials, petrified Palm Root represents one of the many wonders of ancient Earth!

This stone is a natural color, no dyes or heat treatment have been used.  It was photographed without filters in natural light; however, slight color variations may occur due to digitization.  Natural stones can have nooks and crannies, inclusions or small cracks, these distinguishing features lend character to the piece.
