Maligano Jasper is a specific type of jasper found in Indonesia and forms in ancient volcanic hot springs areas.  It’s named after a small village in Sulawesi, Indonesia and is mined by hand as the village doesn’t have the heavy machinery required for deep excavation mining techniques.  Found roughly ten years ago, this stone has made its way into the main stream market.

The bail and earring wires are authentic 925 sterling silver.

This stone is a natural color, no dyes or heat treatment have been used.  It was photographed without filters natural light; however, slight color variations may occur due to digitization.  Natural stones can have nooks and crannies, inclusions or small cracks, these distinguishing features lend character to the piece.
